The Stokke® Flexi Bath® is a compact portable bathtub designed to make bath tub simple and space-efficient. The Stokke® Flexi Bath® has seen several colors released since its initial launch in 2012, including solid colors as well as transparent ones. The product can be used with children up to 4 years, with the XL version of the Stokke® Flexi Bath® even being suitable for use with children up to 6 years. The Stokke® Flexi Bath® is made of two materials - polypropylene (PP), which is the solid plastic that covers most of the surface, and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which is the rubbery elastic which allows for the foldable features of the bathtub. To ensure that the product does not get damaged, customers are advised within the User Guide not to use any types of oils when using the Stokke® Flexi Bath®. To store the product, there is a latch on one of the upper sides, which can be locked onto the other side, allowing it to be folded.
After using the Stokke® Flexi Bath®, it must be dried completely before folding and storing it. The Stokke® Flexi Bath® comes with a heat-sensitive plug which can be used to drain most of the water, however, it is not sufficient to let the water run out through the hole, as it will not drain everything. The user is encouraged to either wipe the entire bath dry with a cloth or lean it against a solid surface in a well ventilated area, so the remaining droplets can all drip out of the Stokke® Flexi Bath®. If the Stokke® Flexi Bath® is folded and/or stored without fully drying the product first, it can cause mold to appear, which is not covered by warranty. The only way mold can appear is due to poor maintenance. If mold appears, we advise to stop using the product for safety reasons and purchase a new one, while paying close attention to the cleaning guidelines to prevent further molding issues.
The Newborn Support is an optional accessory which can be used with both the regular as well as with the XL version of the Stokke® Flexi Bath® - it can be attached quite easily, as it latches on to the edge of the bathtub. This creates a comfortable base for a newborn of up to 8 months to rest on while taking a bath - that being said, the parent should always still keep one hand on the child to prevent them from turning over and falling off. There is not so much space to turn to on the regular side Stokke® Flexi Bath®, but the XL size definitely needs increased attention from the parent.
When using the Stokke® Flexi Bath® with babies up to 10 months, with or without the Newborn Support accessory, there is a recommended water limit shown on the inner side of the bathtub - this is to ensure that the water levels are not too high, to minimize any risk of drowning. The child might not be fully submerged at this lower level, but this is also not required to wash them. It's important to never leave a child unattended within the Stokke® Flexi Bath®.
The Flexi Bath Stand is an optional accessory meant to be used with babies up to 10 kgs and should only be used if they are not yet able to stand up on their own. This metallic structure raises the Stokke® Flexi Bath® from the floor to a comfortable level for the parent, so the parent would not need to kneel or sit on the floor with the child. The Stokke® Flexi Bath® can be safely attached to the Stand accessory via the 4 clips positioned on it. Additionally, it is possible to fold the Stand along with the Stokke® Flexi Bath® for storage purposes, however, this should only be done if the bathtub is entirely dry, or this could cause mold to appear, which will not be covered by warranty.
The Flexi Bath Stand Organizer is a small optional accessory that can be attached to one of the sides of the Flexi Bath Stand. It can be used to store shampoo or small bath time toys inside.
