The JetKids™ by Stokke® collection was created to make family travel more enjoyable, comfortable and manageable for both children and parents. At the heart of the JetKids™ concept is the idea that children should feel engaged and empowered while traveling - whether moving through an airport, sitting through a long flight or settling in for rest on the go.
The JetKids™ by Stokke® BedBox™ is a ride‑on suitcase that combines storage, mobility and in‑flight comfort. Children can sit on it, pull it, or ride through the airport, reducing the fatigue and fuss that often accompany long walks. Once onboard, the BedBox™ transforms into an in‑flight bed or leg rest, offering a cozy resting space for children aged approximately 2 to 7. The suitcase opens to reveal a mattress and side panels that create a soft, supportive surface, while its swivel wheels make it easy for both parents and children to maneuver. With a 20‑liter storage capacity, the BedBox™ offers ample space for travel essentials such as toys, clothing or snacks.
The BedBox™ was designed to align with the requirements of many major airlines around the world, and it is approved for use during cruise altitude with the seatbelt sign off, provided it does not obstruct aisles or emergency exits. Children may use it on the window or middle seats - provided that a passanger can exit from the other side in case of emergency - and it must be safely stowed during taxi, takeoff, landing or turbulence. This thoughtful compliance enables families to benefit from its comfort features without compromising safety.
In addition to the BedBox™, the initial launch also included a RideBox™. The RideBox™ was near-identical to the BedBox™, but lacked the mattress and the slidable lid, which meant it could not be used as a bed. The RideBox™ was designed to be used as carry-on luggage for children which could also carry them, while being pulled around through the airport. Without the mattress taking up space inside, the RideBox™ also had considerably larger capacity when compared to the BedBox™.
The RideBox™ and BedBox™ were designed to be used in airports and airplanes. While it is possible to pull both suitcases outdoors, children should ride either of these products elsewhere, as the swivel wheels are not designed to carry the weight of children on outdoor uneven surfaces, such as pavement or gravel. Such misuse could cause the wheels to break out of the shell.
To complement the BedBox™, Stokke® introduced the JetKids™ Crew Backpack, a versatile child-sized travel backpack designed for ages 2-7. Lightweight, water‑repellent and shaped for little shoulders, the backpack supports independence by allowing children to carry their own items. It includes practical features such as a pull‑out seat pad, reflective details for visibility and the ability to fit inside or attach to the BedBox™. Matching colors and textures create a cohesive look across the JetKids™ line, reinforcing the sense of a complete travel system. The Crew Backpack has an initial capacity of 6 litres, but has a central zipper which allows it to be expanded further as the child grows, thereby increasing capacity from 6 to 8 litres.
The JetKids™ CloudSleeper™ is a compact inflatable travel bed designed for children aged 2 and above. Intended for use at hotels, with relatives or as an adaptable sleep surface on the go, the CloudSleeper™ inflates in up to 5 minutes thanks to its integrated pump. Its air‑mesh cover promotes breathability, while the built‑in side bumpers help keep the child comfortably in place during sleep. Lightweight, easy to pack and free of loose parts, it is designed to make transitions between environments smoother for families who are frequently on the move.
It is important to remember that the CloudSleeper™ is an inflatable child bed and inflatable items will lose volume under specific circumstances, such as a decrease in temperature or increase in external air pressure. During night time, air temperatures generally drop also indoors and this may have an effect on the CloudSleeper™, and it may no longer feel as inflated in the morning as it did prior to bedtime. A decrease in volume does not mean that there is anything wrong with the product. In case there is a hole or leak somewhere, the CloudSleeper™ cannot be inflated fully, as the pressure will push the air out before it can be fully inflated.
