The Stokke® Trailz™ was created for families who wanted the freedom to explore beyond smooth pavements and city sidewalks. Designed as Stokke’s dedicated all-terrain stroller, it offered the robustness, stability and comfort needed for outdoor adventures while still embodying the Scandinavian design language and signature parent‑child closeness found throughout the Stokke® stroller portfolio. First introduced in 2014, Trailz™ quickly became known for its distinctive combination of premium build quality and terrain‑ready performance.
A major defining feature of Trailz™ was its wheel system, designed to perform reliably across uneven ground, gravel paths and trails. Depending on the model, the stroller came equipped either with large air‑filled terrain wheels or with puncture‑resistant alternatives, both offering excellent shock absorption. This robust wheel design, paired with a sturdy chassis, ensured a smooth ride even when navigating nature paths or rougher surroundings. The spacious easily accessible shopping basket, which could hold up to 10 kg, provided practical storage for long days out.
The stroller was compatible with the Stokke® Carry Cot, making it suitable from birth. The carry cot, recommended for babies up to six months or a maximum of 9 kg / 20 lbs, offered a safe, enclosed environment and a firm mattress. As the child grew, the Stokke® Stroller Seat served as the seating option, with generous padding and durable fabrics. The seat design was shared with the Stokke® Xplory™, which means it offered multiple seat recline options - parent‑facing or outward‑facing - and allowed the child to sit upright, recline comfortably or rest almost flat, depending on their needs.
Families could further customize their Trailz™ with a variety of Stokke® accessories, including the sibling board, cup holder, rain cover, mosquito net, footmuff and all‑weather inlay. These accessories allowed the stroller to adapt to different climates, seasons and family needs, ensuring year‑round usability. Car seat adapters such as the CSA Multi was also available, making Trailz™ compatible with several non-Stokke car seats, or even with Stokke's own official car seat cooperation projects, which did not require the use of any adaptor and could be attached directly onto the chassis.
