Versions & compatibility - Stokke® Sleepi™ - Mini, Bed & Junior – Stokke

Stokke® Sleepi™ V1* (ca. 1995 - ca. 2003)

*Owners of an older or second hand Sleepi™ usually believe they have a V1, but actually own the V2.

A child's crib concept which grows with the child, available in 3 different configurations:
- Cradle (0-6 months)
  - This used one of the curved sections from the Bed to act as the base, with the walls being made up of the two plywood pieces from the Bed.
- Bed (6-36 months)
- Junior (3-10 years)
The colour of the screws was brown oxide.
Blue metal brackets were used to assemble the plywood to the bed frame and blue plastic brackets were used as washers between the wooden and metal parts, to prevent damage.

Can be used with all V1 accessories, and:
- Bed Mattress V2
- Junior Mattress V2
Cannot be used with:
- Mini Mattress V2, V3 (due to different shape and design)
- Bed Extension V2, V3
- Junior Extension V2
- Downsizing Kit V3

A child's crib concept which grows with the child, available in 3 different configurations:
- Mini (0-6 months)
  - Cradle concept was redesigned entirely and became the Mini.
    - The curved section was split into a Left and Right section, with a spacer in the middle for the Mini, exclusively.
    - Wooden wheel frames were needed in order to safely attach and balance the wheels on the Mini configuration.
- Bed (6-36 months)
- Junior (3-10 years)
  - The Junior was redesigned - previously the entire plywood set for Junior V1 consisted of 5 separate pieces - this was reduced to 4. The Junior extension set now came with 2 plywood pieces and 2 long wooden spacers, as the plywood end pieced could be used along with the 2 plywood pieces from the Junior, with the 2 spacers acting as reinforcement, lifting also the weight limit from 120 kg to 140 kg.
The colour of the screws was brown oxide.
White metal brackets were used to assemble the plywood to the bed frame and white plastic brackets were used as washers between the wooden and metal parts, to prevent damage.
More holes were added to the plywood base for all configurations for better air circulation.

Can be used with all V2 accessories, and:
- Mini Mattress V3
  - Mini Protection Sheet V3
  - Mini Fitted Sheet V3
- Mini Mesh Liner V3
- Canopy V3 (but not Drape Rod V3)
Cannot be used with:
- Bed Mattress V3 (due to size change)
- Bed Extension V3 (due to design & size change)
- Downsizing Kit V3 (due to design change)

A child's crib concept which grows with the child, available in 2 different configurations:
- Mini (0-6 months)
  - Wooden wheel frames are no longer used - instead, metal wheel brackets are required, if wheels are used with the Mini.
- Bed (6-60 months)
  - The Bed was made longer by 14 cm, extending the configuration's lifetime from 3 years to 5 years, but therefore removing the Junior extension option entirely - making 5 years the new limit.
The colour of the screws is silver.
- The size of the screws has also changed, which means that the wooden parts are not compatible between different versions.
White metal brackets are used to assemble the plywood to the bed frame - no plastic brackets are placed between wood and metal.
No more outward-facing screws - the screws are all facing either inward or sideways, so that the overall look is cleaner compared to older versions.
- As the positions of screws has changed, it is another reason why the wooden parts are not compatible between different versions.
A Stokke logo is found on the Left curved sections of the Sleepi frame.
The wheels were removed from the Bed configuration in 2026 - these are now only available as a separate accessory item.
