The YOYO® Connect is an intelligent extension created to give the YOYO® an entirely new level of flexibility. Instead of designing a traditional, bulky double stroller, the idea behind the Connect was to offer parents a modular solution - something that could appear only when needed, stay incredibly compact, and still provide all the functionality required for siblings or twins. It attaches to the back of the YOYO® frame with a simple, secure click, and once connected, the stroller transforms into a double configuration while preserving the familiar lightness and manoeuvrability that define the YOYO® family.
What makes the Connect particularly remarkable is that it folds, similarly to the YOYO®, into one ultra‑compact piece. This is more than just a convenience feature: it allows the combined setup to become the first double stroller that can be accepted as cabin luggage by many airlines, maintaining the YOYO® tradition of effortless travel. Even when folded, it is possible to hook the YOYO® Connect frame onto the back of the YOYO® with a few straps, making it easy to store and transport during everyday routines.
The product was created with growing families in mind. Parents can use two bassinets at once, two 6+ seats, or mixed combinations such as a bassinet paired with a 6+ seat, or a 6+ seat paired with a car seat on the main YOYO® frame. While the Connect may take more physical space compared to typical twin strollers, the clear benefit of the Connect is that it is a separate accessory which can be used when it's needed, but must not be while it is not.
Although it becomes a second “stroller” when attached, the YOYO® Connect cannot be used independently. It has no front wheels of its own, which keeps the size and weight down, and instead relies on the YOYO® for direction. The Connect has swivel rear wheels that make movement smooth and intuitive, and when the two are attached, the brake located on the Connect becomes the operational brake for the entire setup.
While the YOYO® Connect cannot be used independently, it still comes with the same kit of parts as any other YOYO® frame, including the 6+ Base Fabrics, 6+ Canopy Wires & Reversible Backrest, which are required for the most common setup.
Many YOYO® accessories can also be used with the YOYO® Connect, such as:
- Bassinet (The Connect Bassinet adaptors are required as an extra purchase for this to work, as the regular adaptors cannot be used with the Connect frame)
- 6+ Color Pack
- Footmuff
- Mosquito Net
- Rain Cover
- Parasol
- Cup holder
- Backpack
- Mittens
For further clarity, there are certain accessories which cannot be used with the YOYO® Connect:
- 0+ Newborn Pack (this cannot be used on the Connect, but also cannot be used on the YOYO® main frame while the Connect is attached due to the amount of space this takes)
- Leg rest (Connect seat front design is different)
- Car seat (Connect armrest is different)
- Board (nowhere to attach to)
- Bag (nowhere to attach to)
- Skis (will attach, but will not offer intended usage)
While the Connect frame is attached to the YOYO® frame, many users struggle to understand how to lift the front wheels. Usually users are able to pull down the handle to lift the front wheels on a regular single stroller, but this does not quite work with the Connect. In fact, pulling down the handle of the Connect frame might cause long-term damage, as this handle is not meant to be pulled down.
In order to list all 3 sets of wheels, one by one, the following must be done:
- Front set of YOYO® frame wheels:
- Pull down handle of the YOYO® frame (front frame)
- Rear set of YOYO® frame wheels / YOYO® Connect borrowed front wheels:
- Lift up handle of the YOYO® frame (front frame)
- Rear set of YOYO® Connect rear wheels:
- Lift up handle of the YOYO® Connect frame (rear frame)
