For the Baby Set to attach to your Tripp Trapp® seat plate, there are 2 requirements:
- The seat plate is in the highest position
- The seat plate depth must be centered within the chair, ideally at 7 cm, or just under 3 inches.
- Having the seat plate at any other depth (lower or higher) can prevent the bottom plastic latch from clipping into the seat plate.
Attempting to force the Baby Set to clip in at any other seat height or depth can permanently damage the chair or Baby Set.
Older User Guides may refer to a smaller depth of 5-6 cm, or roughly 2-2.3 inches, but this depth measurement is only relevant for older Baby Set versions. The older versions and the current version of Baby Set (Baby Set²) can all safely fit at 7 cm, or just under 3 inches.
This is a common misunderstanding due to conflicting information provided in older User Guides. If this does not resolve your issue, please proceed to submit a claim using the Warranty & Claims form. However, as this is a well known misunderstanding, the team is very likely to ask you to provide imagery that show the required setup as described above, to be able to rule out this possibility. It may be best to prepare such imagery in advance for faster processing of your request.
