The Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® is a rear-facing infant car seat designed to offer a safe, lightweight, and practical solution for transporting newborns and young babies. It was developed in collaboration with Nuna®, a brand specialising in premium child safety products, and was offered as part of the Stokke® portfolio to complement Stokke® stroller systems. The Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® has since been discontinued, but many customers are still actively using this product.
The Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® is suitable for use from birth and is approved for babies up to approximately 12 months of age, or until the child reaches the maximum height or weight limits specified in the user guide. As with all infant car seats, usage must be discontinued once the child exceeds these limits or no longer fits safely within the harness system, regardless of age.
It is important to note that car seats have a finite lifespan. Even if a Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® appears visually intact, it should not be used beyond the expiration date stated on the product label, nor should it be used if it has been involved in an accident.
The Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® can be installed in two different ways:
- Using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt
- Using a compatible ISOFIX base (where available and approved)
Correct installation is crucial for child safety. It is strongly recommended that customers always follow the instructions provided in the user guide and ensure that the car seat is installed according to local regulations. Improper installation can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the car seat in the event of an accident.
The car seat includes a 5-point harness system to keep the child securely positioned. The harness is designed to distribute forces evenly in the event of a collision and should always be adjusted to fit snugly. Bulky clothing is not recommended when using the harness, as it can prevent proper tightening and reduce safety.
For newborns, the Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® includes removable infant inserts, which provide additional support and help ensure an appropriate and ergonomic fit for smaller babies. These inserts should be removed once the child outgrows them, as specified in the user guide.
The textiles of the Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® are removable for cleaning. Textile components can typically be machine washed according to the care label instructions, while the hard parts of the car seat should only be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. The use of harsh detergents, solvents, or excessive water is not recommended, as this may damage materials or affect safety-related components.
As the Stokke® Pipa™ by Nuna® is a discontinued product, availability of spare parts and accessories may be limited. It is possible that Nuna® themselves may still stock spare parts in case specific parts go missing. Even though this car seat version is discontinued, discontinued products are still covered by warranty if they fall within the applicable warranty period, provided valid proof of purchase is available.
