The folding mechanism itself is perhaps the trickiest step of the entire process. Here is a short list of the process which may help first time users:
- Ensure that your stroller wheels are both facing straight - ideally outwards (which means you need to pull the stroller back, so that the wheels face outwards).
- Engage the brake so the frame does not move while you are folding. Ensure the wheels are still facing outwards.
- Fold the handle by simultaneously pressing the two buttons on the handlebar, allowing you to fold the handle against the frame.
- Note that there is no mechanism to "lock" the handle to the frame while it is in the folded position. If you are using the 6+ Color Pack, the canopy wires attached to the handle joint technically help to keep the handle in a "locked" position.
- Move your hand underneath the handle to reach the bottom area of the frame.
- Press the white button underneath the frame, attached to a red/orange plastic bracket. This white button must be pressed and remain pressed.
- While the button is pressed, pull the red/orange plastic bracket towards you until you hear a 'click' sound. Once you hear this sound, release the button and bracket but do not remove your hand.
- The 'click' sound indicates that the locking mechanism has been triggered - in this instance, it has been released.
- Your hand should be retracted slightly so you can use it to wrap around the folded handlebar and the central metal bar. Once you've grabbed both with your hand, you may lift the stroller from these two components and the folding can commence.
- If you paid attention to the wheel position in the first steps, it will allow the folding to proceed smoothly. If your wheels got stuck during the mechanism, rotate them so they remain straight, so folding can proceed.
- Once the frame is neatly folded, ensure the wheels are facing outwards, so you can see the white plastic parts right above the front wheels.
- Engage the fold hook underneath the frame, so it can latch onto the central metal bar.
- Your frame is now folded - you may hang it over your shoulder, using the shoulder strap. Ensure that the wheels are facing outwards and the handle is facing towards you. If you are walking with your child, ensure that the child is walking on the opposite side from the carried frame.
