Versions & compatibility - Tripp Trapp® - Harness (WW excluding US/CA)

Stokke® Harness V1 (September 2005 - March 2017)

Special features:

  • 4-point Harness.
    • No crotch strap available. Users were expected to use the Tripp Trapp® Baby Set which already prevented the child from slipping out
    • The buckle and one of the clips were white, whereas one clip was beige, to indicate which one can be unclipped to get the child in and out.
  • Attaches directly to the seat plate of the Tripp Trapp® chair using two white plastic brackets
  • Initially available in three colors: Beige, Orange, Green.
    • Orange and Green were discontinued in 2011.

Compatibility and incompatibility:

  • Can be used with any Tripp Trapp® Chair version while any Tripp Trapp® accessory is attached.
  • Cannot be used with the Newborn Set - the Newborn Set uses its own harness.

 

Stokke® Harness V2 (April 2017 - October 2017)

Special features & change log:

  • 4-point Harness was updated to 5-point Harness by implementing a crotch strap.
    • This made using the Harness safer for those that were purposefully avoiding usage of the Tripp Trapp® Baby Set.

Compatibility and incompatibility:

  • Can be used with any Tripp Trapp® Chair version while any Tripp Trapp® accessory is attached.
  • Cannot be used with the Newborn Set - the Newborn Set uses its own harness.

 

Stokke® Harness V3 (November 2017 - March 2024)

Special features & change log:

  • 5-point Harness
  • The buckle and both clips were both made white. Both clips could be unclipped
  • A plastic Shoulder Connector clip was implemented which connected both shoulder straps - this clip should be positioned at the upper back of the child so that the straps do not fall off the child's shoulders.

Compatibility and incompatibility:

  • Can be used with any Tripp Trapp® Chair version while any Tripp Trapp® accessory is attached.
  • Cannot be used with the Newborn Set - the Newborn Set uses its own harness.

 

Stokke® Harness² (April 2024 -)

Special features & change log:

  • 5-point Harness
  • The buckle design was changed into a one-click release, making it easier for parents to get their child out in case of emergency, though the Harness² itself has remained as a 5-point Harness.
  • The Harness² was designed to only be used with the Baby Set², revamping how the Harness² can be attached to the product.

Compatibility and incompatibility:

  • Can be used with any Tripp Trapp® Chair version as long as the Baby Set² is compatible with it.
    • The two components of the Harness² attach directly to the two components of the Baby Set².
  • Cannot be used with the Newborn Set - the Newborn Set uses its own harness.
