When ordering a Tripp Trapp® Chair from the Stokke® website, it is possible to also add a complimentary engraving. This can only be applied prior to checkout, as it is not possible to make any changes to orders once they have been submitted.
Engravings can contain a maximum of 12 characters. It is not possible to add any symbols or special characters to engravings and spaces also count towards the character limit.
Please note that engravings are CaSe SenSiTiVe. If you only include capital letters in the engraving, such as "OLIVER", it means all letters will also arrive capitalized. Stokke® is not liable for any spelling mistakes submitted during entry - if a mistake is made, the user may purchase a new back laminate without an engraving. Additionally, engraved chairs cannot be returned, as personalized chairs cannot be restocked and resold. Prior to submitting the engraving, the user is asked to confirm that they understand this extra condition.
It is not possible to have chairs engraved once you already have your chair. Stokke® does not have any prcoedures in place to have back laminates shipped in for engraving, and it is also not possible to order just an engraved back laminate on the website.
If retailers claim to have engraving options available, they are likely referring to another engraving machine which does not use the same specifications as what Stokke® uses for the Tripp Trapp®. The only exception to this is if the retail store claiming this is an official Stokke® brand store. If in doubt, it is best to check with the Stokke® team.
If you have had a chair engraved at a retailer and you are not happy with the result, this will not be covered under warranty. The option of purchasing a blank back laminate from the Stokke® website will remain as an alternative to using a poorly engraved back laminate.
