All Stokke® products are rigorously tested for physical and chemical safety prior to launch to ensure not only compliance but also general user safety, though human or machine error could occur in unexpected ways, only to be discovered at a later time.
The top priority of Stokke® is to ensure that all products remain safe to use. If even a small possibility exists that a batch of products could be affected by a potential issue in any aspect, Stokke® will investigate these issues with the highest priority and launch a recall, approaching the situation with an abundance of safety.
If a recall is announced, Stokke® will utilize the resources at hand by immediately informing partnered retailers and end users that have potentially been sent affected products. Reaching and informing end users is always easier if products have been purchased directly from the Stokke® web shop, as the e-mail contact made for the purchase would be contacted with the information.
After being informed of a potential recall, users are able to check their product to see if the serial number, batch number or production date of any product might match what has been communicated. If this is the case, users are urged to register their product using the corresponding portal to verify the product and proceed with the next step.
In case you are not sure if your product might be affected by a recall, please check the Stokke® website regularly. More information about recalls can always be found on the Stokke® website under the Safety & Recall information page, as this information will always be kept up to date.
Please note that after registering an affected product, the Stokke® team may reach out and ask for images to verify that the product is affected by the recall before proceeding. This may depend on the product and serial number that's being registered. The affected product must also be returned to Stokke® to ensure that this recall-affected product does not get sold second hand to unsuspecting customers - this does not apply if only an essential spare part of the product is being replaced, as this eliminates the risk of being sold or handed down to a third party.
